The client’s pricing solution identifies areas of pricing opportunity for B2B companies, sets pricing and discount guidelines relative to customer willingness to pay, and manages all pricing activities up through sales quotation.

A quotation is a fixed-price offer that can’t be changed once accepted by the customer. CPQ stands for Configure, Price, Quote. CPQ is software that standardizes and automates the creation of complex quotes. In this article, we explain all about Salesforce Industries CPQ. The quote costing can take into account technical advancement, medium- and long-term productivity, external development expenses, capital raising, and more.

Proposed Solution

To make this vision a reality, we proposed a cloud-based application hosted on AWS. A World of Possibilities: Forecasting Discount Guidelines

The pricing tool supports Discount Guideline and List Price modules towards making a profitable pricing journey for the consumer by recommending discounts and list prices for the products sold by any client through this application.

The list price is the price over which a discount is given to the customer. It is different from the selling price as on the list price, if the discount is given, then that price becomes the selling price – so the selling price is <= list price. Profit % does not include the concept of list price, but it is an important factor in determining how much discount to be given, and it indirectly affects the revenue.

Discounts are offered by a client to increase the number of buyers for a product. Discounts are aimed at increasing the customer base and also the profits can be maximized based on price sensitivity. Price sensitivity is the reduction/increase of the number of quantities sold, per unit rise/fall in price.
